How to create an Apple ID for another country (secondary account)

If someone in DMs offers “代充” (proxy top-up) in our name, it is not us. Do not send codes, passwords, or gift-card PINs to strangers.

What we publish: App Store list prices by country, gift-card market pages, and address/phone format tools. You complete Apple’s official checkout yourself.

Changing Country/Region on the Apple ID you already use for iCloud, photos, and paid apps can cancel subscriptions and lock media. Create a new Apple ID for the target storefront instead, and keep your original ID as the device’s primary iCloud account.

One device can sign into iCloud with ID A and into the App Store with ID B (Settings → Media & Purchases). Sign out of Media & Purchases only, not iCloud, when switching storefronts.

1. On the web, open appleid.apple.com → Create Your Apple ID. Set Country/Region to the storefront you want (example: Philippines, Japan, Canada) before you finish the form.

2. Use a unique email you control. Apple may require phone verification; a number that can receive SMS is enough — it does not have to be issued in that country.

3. Billing address must match the storefront’s format (street, city, postal code). Use /address/ for a format template. That is a layout helper, not a real identity or residency proof.

4. Payment: many storefronts reject foreign cards. The usual official path is an App Store gift card in that country’s currency, redeemed onto the new Apple ID. See /guides/buy-gift-card/.

5. After the ID exists: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → Sign Out → Sign in with the new ID. Leave iCloud on the original ID.

List price is not checkout price. Gift-card face value, seller markup, FX, and tax can erase the gap vs US.

Apple and the app maker can refuse a purchase, lock the ID, or change regional pricing. A matching IP is sometimes requested at buy time; we do not tell you that you must use a VPN, and we do not promise a cheaper successful charge.
